Silicone grip dots

Liquid silicone printed or dispensed onto fabric, elastic tape, hook-and-loop and hot-melt film. Roll width 1440 mm, continuous length up to 10000 mm, dot geometry and colour made to order.

Grip dots do not change the hand of the fabric; they add a raised layer on the face that meets the other material.

What this group does: put grip into the fabric

Silicone grip dots are printed as an uncured dot pattern and then cured in place. They control relative slip between the fabric and whatever it contacts: cuffs that ride up, pads that migrate, socks that roll, insoles that slide, liners that chafe.

Compared with laminating an anti-slip textile, direct printing adds no thickness and no extra interface, so edges stay flat through flexing and washing. The trade-off is that print parameters must follow the carrier: fibre, weight and finishing agents all change how the silicone wets and cures.

Five common carriers

  • Knitted and woven fabric: screen print or dispense directly; desizing and cleaning come first.
  • Elastic tape: lay the pattern along the stretch direction so pitch stays usable under tension.
  • Hook-and-loop: printing or dispensing works, but hook and loop faces bond differently.
  • TPU and nylon hot-melt film: print the film, ship as a roll, let the customer cut and press.
  • Panels and cut pieces: print to the final outline to cut waste in the sewing room.

Delivery forms

Three ways to buy the same dots

Which one fits depends on whether you run printing and heat-press equipment in house.

  • Printed fabric roll

Continuous printing on fabric, 1440 mm wide; dot diameter, height, pitch and colour made to your drawing.

  • Hot-melt film (cut and press)

Dots printed onto TPU or nylon hot-melt film; cut the shape and heat-press it onto the garment, no printing line needed.

  • Elastic and hook-and-loop

Printed or dispensed directly on elastic tape and hook-and-loop; dot pattern follows the stretch direction. Samples in 3 days.

Forms and sizes are confirmed on a drawing or a physical sample; dot pattern can be proven on your own fabric first.

FAQ

Three questions on grip dots

What is the largest size you can print?

Roll width 1440 mm with continuous length up to 10000 mm. Colour, dot diameter, height and shape are made to order; the exact layout is confirmed on a drawing or sample.

Do the dots survive washing?

It depends on the carrier, the bond and the cure. Wash cycles, temperature and detergent have to match the real use, so cycle testing belongs in sampling.

Can you print on hot-melt film?

Yes. Dots can be printed or dispensed onto TPU and nylon hot-melt film, so a garment factory can cut and press without owning a printing line.

Other composite groups

Grip dots sit in the fabric and film family; the other substrates are documented separately.

Send the carrier and the grip target

Fibre content, weight, a fabric sample and the application are enough to pick a process route; samples follow in 3 days.
